The tourists are back

Our Glasgow family came over to Edinburgh today and while the parents went to a Fringe show we took the grandkids to the Modern Art Gallery to see the Barbara Hepworth exhibition. We then had lunch at the gallery and walked back along the Water of Leith to the house, via Dean Village. All looks peaceful enough in the photo, but look closely at the bridge and you can see the hordes. The scene on the bridge as we arrived there is shown in the extra. We managed to get through, but I was glad to escape!  Phew! Haven’t dared go anywhere near the Royal Mile - happy to steer clear.
