Winning bid

Pleased to win this cover which shows the liner Queen Elizabeth at John Browns shipyard at Clydebank dated 29th September 1938 commemmorating her launch into the River Clyde. She was then the largest liner in the world going into service as a troopship in 1940. With her sister ship Queen Mary she sailed for Cunard line between Southampton and New York.
