Shrine - Daliburgh

Working out on Askernish machair today. A sunny but very blustery day!

This caught my eye on my way home through Daliburgh. South Uist is predominantly Catholic and there are lots of these little shrines dotted around at the roadsides.

The plaque reads "Our Lady of Lourdes statue consecrated on 22-06-2008 by Rt. Rev. Ian Murray, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles."
