Flower at last

My modest cactus collection has not done very well for flowers this year. I don’t expect the big ones to flower. It can take many years before they do. But there is usually a good display on the Lobivias, Rebutias and Mammilarias.

It may be that they were kept in the house last winter and that they prefer being out in the cool greenhouse.

It does look as though in a week or two the Gymnocalicium will flower. This one has a very large flower which opens in the night and last for just one day.
