I didn't see and bald birds!

Some gulls have been very busy doing some serious preening. I might have guessed wrong but at the moment, on the pond in Queens Park, there are female mallards, coots and gulls and the only birds in that group with white feathers are the gulls.
I noticed that the leaves on some of the maple trees are beginning take on their autumnal colours .... not quite ready for a photograph though.
