From my garden
Today we have had a quiet day at home. I woke far too early again after an unsettled night, but felt better after a good walk in the woods with Xena. We saw three Vizslas on our walk today.
I then finished all my packing - I have this system of laying everything out on the floor and then I can look at all of it and see if I have all the things I need. I made a few changes, put some things back and then finally put it all in the suitcase.
I did laundry and changed the bedding so everything is organised and all the chores are now done.
We had a late lunch at home, and then we filled out our travel forms for Canada and checked all our documents.
Later in the afternoon I went with Gavin to the driving range, practiced my swing and some chipping and putting. There was a grandad there with two of his grand children, and his granddaughter, who looks to be in her very early teens, is already such a great golfer, its such an advantage when you can start playing a sport when young.
I hope I sleep okay tonight as tomorrow will be an awfully long journey. We leave home at 9am tomorrow to go to the airport. It's about a 9 hour flight to Chicago, where we have a 3 hour wait for our connecting flight to Anchorage which is about 6.5 hours long. We finally arrive in Anchorage at 10pm on Monday night, which is actually 7am UK time as there is a 9 hour time difference! I think we will be pretty shattered and hopefully can go to sleep even though our body clocks will be telling us its time to get up for the next day. Not sure when and what I will be Blipping!
Now to spend the last evening for a while snuggled up to Xena on the sofa...I am going to miss her so much.
