Red Admiral on the Sungold

Today's the day .................... to sup through a straw

After yesterday's rain when there wasn't a lot of wildlife to be seen, today dawned sunny and bright and there were lots of butterflies about.

I did see a little brownish one that was new to me - but by the time I retrieved my camera from inside, it had vanished, never to be seen again.  Just as well the buddleia bushes were awash with peacocks and red admirals.

So here is one of the latter, sunning itself on the Buddleia 'Sungold' - and sipping its afternoon nectar through a straw ..................
