Moorhen

An afternoon 'there and back' wander along the Monkland Canal at Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge. Most of the canal was a carpet of algae (see extra), so it wasn't a surprise to see this moorhen having a wee preen on a perch above the water's surface.
