Ailie

Last time Ailie and I met was when we did the Dales Way 2 months ago. Since then we’ve both been travelling and by the time I get home from our next trip she’ll have gone to NZ till after Xmas. So we met for a ramble over the moor this morning to catch up on her Alaska trip and my Shetland and Italy trips. I should have been sorting clothing and food for the van but it was a lovely day to be up there. I have now done all those jobs.

We have a glut of dwarf beans so I had to freeze them. Something has eaten all the kale and all my roses have gone to the deer. So glad I got the one bunch picked, the only one in the entire year.

I’m getting excited about our Scandi trip. Mr C says there’s a camp site near a metro so that we can travel in to Stockholm for the day from it in 50 minutes. So far we have planned the route north through Sweden to Lofoten Islands then south as far as Trondheim. Once we work out how long it till take to Amsterdam from there, calling at a few places we want to go to, we can allocate rest days etc.
