Day Late

Had it not been for my “oppo”* Jeff this would have been yesterdays Blipfoto.

Rugby is back at the Recreation Ground, home of Falmouth Rugby, two matches, first up the second XV, known to everyone as “One & All” but as mentioned in Thursdays Blip we are rebranding so today they were described as “Eagles 2’s”, not quite so inspiring as “One & All” in fact bland. Playing rugby with smiles on their faces they went down 24-33 to Veor.
They were followed by “The Eagles”, not “Eagles 1’s”, lot of endeavour against Helston coming out on top 24-12 but I suspect we may have to up our game in the coming season just to stand still.
The sun shone, half decent crowd outside enjoying the sun, good to see friends old and new.

Mrs S remained at home with her ‘Gin Club’ visiting, some fresh faces to chat to other than me.

Cheese & ham toasties for dinner whilst watching No Time To Die, first time for me, second for Mrs S who saw it in the cinema.


*oppo = Naval Slang, shortened from opposite number (on the Watch & Station Bill). A description given to a “Naval Colleague” but it was more than that you were friends, good friends.
