Running late

Walk before breakfast and the straight on with preparation for lunch.
Cornbread made, table laid and dinner ready. Eat at one I said, come whenever you like. I didn’t actually state before one, I assumed that was implied by eat at one. They didn’t turn up until twenty five past, but never mind it was a lovely afternoon, so warm we had the doors open and the dogs just trotted around the garden.
Beautiful bunch of flowers gratefully received.
After visitors left we cleared away and took Hetty for a walk.
The cake was a success, will definitely make again.
