Ball & Chain

Had an interesting day today, first making a print for a local  artist who likes my bird pictures and wants to paint a couple. So took it to the St Martin's gallery where she was having her last day of her current exhibition.
Then on to Lincoln castle to check out one of the areas in the prison where the Steampunk choir will be singing. Was surprised to find an area of the prison that I had not seen before , the female section which is usually out of bounds for the general public as it is used for education purposes for schools in the term time. This is where the ball & chain was.
Then bumped into a friend who I got to know on an RAF detachment in Darwin Australia, we were both stationed at RAF Waddington at the time , and both joined Lincoln camera club in the late '70s when we both left the RAF to pursue different careers. We both lost our wives in the same month in 2019 , so chatting is good therapy for both of us, and photography is very much common ground for both of us, natural history and people pictures, so today we wandered around , took pictures had a couple of coffees at different cafes for about 5 hours :-) !
