Fresh bread

A quiet day for sales which meant a little time to sit out in the not too hot sunshine for a while. My favourite customer of the day only spent £2.50 but what a delightful old lady. 92 years young, one of sixteen children, witty and interesting. She took the time to ask about the business as well as telling some lovely stories. I hope to see her again one day.
We treated ourselves to a salt and pepper loaf from the new bakery. It was supposed to be for sandwiches tomorrow but we had a sneaky slice with tonight’s curry.
