Well another day when I certainly haven't been wondering what to do next!

An early start with ringing the church bells for the morning service.  Then home to field any calls in for Remember My Baby; there were a few as the morning progressed but nothing that sorted quickly. I ended up driving to Watford to cover one session.

I found hospital and car park with no problem BUT, as I switched off the engine, I realised I had not put my purse in my camera bag so no way to pay for the parking! To cut a long and quite stressful story short,  I phoned home and got J to photograph one of my bank cards so I was able to sign up with a parking app and pay for some parking. Stress levels quite high.

Next task was finding a way into a maternity unit.  This is always challenging at the best of times but I hadn't been to Watford General before so a new experience!

I met a lovely family and beautiful baby. They were desperate to get home to their other children but so tolerant and willing to pose however I asked. For once the room had strong natural lighting and space - I'm often working like a contortionist in most hospital rooms!

Home afterwards to a pleasant meal where we were joined by Edward. Remember My Baby does recognise the sacrifices and efforts from Volunteer families to cover while we are out with the cameras.

A tiring but rewarding day.
