Shimmering

A lazy-ish day, with a couple of dog walks and a wander to the allotment. It’s interesting to see the effects of the dry weather on the plants.

Many have stopped flowering so the vegetable supply is going to be limited unless we get rain and they blossom again (unlikely at this late stage of summer?).

These tomatoes are prize jewels - the almond shaped ones especially- for their flavour and striking green and gold stripes.

Feels a relief to have cooler weather - 20 degrees rather than the 33 degrees of last weekend. But no rain in the forecast for us for the next week.
