Marker post, take this line.

Sunday walk over the Old Course, St. Andrews. Five weeks ago today it was somewhat different, the Open 2022 final day’s play was underway. There are still a few remnants of the 150th Open to be seen, but most of the temporary structures and buildings are gone. The Course looks weary though, very worn from all the play and foot etc traffic.

The marker post, gives players an indication of the line their shot needs to take. Often black and white. Freshly painted, coincidentally the Ukrainian flag colour. The conflict there grinds on, almost 6 months.

Younger son came for dinner. He’d been playing golf in Ayrshire. Another quality course.
