Culbone

Walked from the cottage - walked at a leisurely pace as the path from Porlock Weir has become much more challenging . It was so peaceful in the trees although the valley itself was busier than we had seen it for ages . Ate our picnic in the porch as is traditional and met people local to us from Street and Gillingham . It was lovely to see so many people discovering it and enjoying the special peace there .
Very glad to enjoy a shower and a lie down when we got back to the cottage as the six mikes was taxing in the humid conditions!
