Tewkesbury

It was a bit overcast so we decided on the 35 minute drive to Tewkesbury, Worcestershire (UK) for a walk around this charming old Tudor town with the River Avon & River Severn running through the town centre. The photo' shows a river cruise boat making it's way on the Avon towards Tewkesbury Abbey in the distance.

Late afternoon we collected granddaughter Amelia from school and on getting home she remembered we'd said she could pick the sloes in the hedge of our meadow field. There are also blackberries which we enjoyed snacking as we filled a couple of containers with sloes. They're now in the freezer to soften them up to start making gin sloe.
