Hectic Days

I seem to have messed up the days on my blips. This one should be for Sunday 21st but that is already taken. Can't trust these young kids!
It is a hectic weekend. Saturday was a garden party (bring your own picnic) at Daughter Twos. In addition to food we also took chairs, tables, kids garden toys,  big music speaker, foosball table, half a dozen picnic blankets and our event shelter.
Today (Sunday) we have been invited to another garden party in our village, not a self catering one this time. I had offered to help Mike put up a marquee and also offered him use of our event shelter. That proved to be a problem as it was already in use at Daughter Two's do.
We were up early Sunday morning, over to D2's to un-erect the shelter. We had almost finished when we we got the message that the marquee and shelter were not needed as the weather was going to be fine. So we could of continued working, collected all our stuff, packed the car and drove home. Or we could have sat down in the sunshine, eat toast, chatted to the stragglers from the previous days picnic and drink a very good iced coffee that D2's wife makes.
I will leave it to you to work out which option was taken.
Garden Party Two was great, lots of food, wine and company, all of which was good. We met a couple who moved into a house and the other end of our street at the end of last year. Its strange that in such a small village our paths have not crossed previously.
