Later than hoped
The final leg of my train journey back up north was cancelled meaning that I was later arriving than I should have been.
When I went out for dinner I went to a pub that I have been to several times before. The food took a long time coming, the barmaid came to apologise and explain that they had a problem with the grill in the kitchen. When the food arrived, she apologised again, the chef had given me extra large portions and I was then offered a free extra pint. They understand good customer service and I will certainly be returning there again.
