Happy Girl
We took some pictures of Lucy at the gate as we left to go to the beach on Sunday. I just love this one, she looks so happy, which she was!
Today it was a bit drizzly, so we headed off to the pebble beach so Lucy could dig, and took the car save for walking back up the big hill. We only spent an hour there, and she had a happy time digging a big hole and then putting all the giant rocks she found it there. She was a little bit bossy, and every time we found a nice looking stone, she instructed us to give them to her!
We went to the farm shop for lunch, as there was a bit of a barney to do with eating....mealtimes seem to be a bit of a bone of contention... ;-)
We had a chilled rest of the day, and did absolutely nothing! We suggested Shelle and N went out for dinner, and we put Lucy to bed. We did the 'love train' up to the bath, which she loved! She started being a bit of a clown, and just as we were ready to put her in the bath, she said "you have to catch me first!" and started crawling away! We played with the little boats in a very bubbly bath, she managed her face and teeth by herself, and then we settled in for stories - Ro managed to sneak away for a 'sneak' smoke while I played with her in the bath so she was pretty happy ;-)
We read a story each, and then Ro went down to put the sausages in the oven. She was tired, but tried a few "I'm hungry, mummy makes me a jam sandwich when I get hungry"...but I just kissed her goodnight and tucked her up! We thought we were all good as she was very quiet - then she got up and laid at the top of the stairs so I took her back as I was worried she might just roll down them even though we were two feet away in the kitchen doorway!
She was quiet as we ate our dinner, and we thought we'd cracked it, but then she appeared with a picture she'd drawn for us both, on a tissue... I forgot to check her bedroom for contraband... ie; her pencil case! We popped her back, and she was very good - Shelle and N had sneaked back in at 9pm and pretended they weren't here. They sat in the living room, and Ro made them tea and got their sweatpants, book, snack etc!
I went up to have a bath and she appeared, still believing they were out, so Ro popped her back. When Shelle came up a little later she said "I was waiting up for you! ". She's gone to bed late every night but slept in until 9ish each day so they can't complain ;-)
