You’re Not Seeing Things.....!!!

Haha...yes they are Christmas Cards ....on sale this morning in the very ‘dinky’ little RNLI gift shop down on the Harbour just above where the Dun Laoghaire lifeboat is launched....the most ‘launched’ lifeboat around our Irish Coast...( Out rescuing various incidents 3 times in the last week)...we spoke for ages to two very interesting volunteers in the shop...
The work the RNLI does around both the UK and the Irish Coast is incredible...the danger they face...their courage is remarkable...and they also told us that every time that lifeboat is launched from Dun Laoghaire it costs €400 that’s a lot of money to raise for a voluntary organization so they are well worth supporting...!
The very attractive Porsche car was advertising their latest fund raising efforts..I think starting tomorrow...I wouldn’t mind joining I if I could drive that....!!
And just in case you’d be curious about why I included my photo of the very lovely oilcloth table covering....!!? Sent a picture of it to S just wondering like ..if Albert might like it for his ledge...a ‘posh’ cloth to have his granola and tortilla chips off........:))) she had a great laugh....!!
We also spent a little time in the beautiful Parish church on the corner of the Marine Road where I lit a candle and said a prayer for all who ask me to keep them in my thoughts and prayers...they have some really lovely statues there...St.Martin dePorres...St.Padre Pio and St. Anne ...it’s lovely to be able to light actual burning candles again so I hope they were all listening...x
It’s been a marvelous day...I so enjoy these unexpected short trips back to where I worked & lived for a number of years and was so sad to leave it when I moved back to Kildare..
And Jeano if you’re reading this sorry I didn’t get to see you again....but hopefully soon now that things are a bit more normal...
We’ve had a lovely evening too crocheting at each other and watching recorded episodes of Masterchef Australia.until our eyes turned Square....:))))
