The iron man

F and I had a very successful London adventure today, which turned into a bit of a sculpture-fest. We started off in London Bridge and walked across the bridge into the area around St Paul's. The sun was shining and we had a cup of take-out tea each - very civilised. The Angel sculptures around St Paul's churchyard were very striking. We then wandered through various narrow alleyways discovering an amazing couple of cooling vents for an electricity substation, an iron man (the blip), a landscaped urban garden with purple irises, a bizarre old safe (we think) eroding in the side of a wall in an alley, and Hodge the cat, which led us to explore Dr Johnson's house. All in all, a very satisfying exploration of the city.

I wandered off to meet Fi and Sarah for a wonderful dinner at Mildred's before heading off to the Bloomsbury Ballroom to see Saint Etienne play their 'Foxbase Alpha' album in its entirety. Fantastic!
