Elsa on a Land Rover
This is an image of Elsa , The lioness rescued in Kenya by the Adamsons in the 50's after being orphaned by hunters.
Subsequently the Adamsons created the Born Free charity and many of us will have seen the same name film.
.
This is part of an open exhibition of c 20 similar sculpture on Clifton Down, Bristol open now and free to the public.
The sculptures were created by Gillie and Marc ( no surname given) on behalf of the Charity 'Born Free Forever' for endangered species.
Phew , I kept the reasonable short for me that is!
And ......The Land Rover was created in the 1940's from a brilliant idea and spare parts I think.
