Beauty among the thorns

We went to see Grandad today, and Mum and I went on a walk with him while we were there. This is from said walk! I took other photos but this little weed flower stood out. I filtered the colours a little in post, as I often end up doing!

For some reason his road was stuffed with inadvisable numbers of large highway maintenance vehicles today, which blocked our car both arriving and leaving... I'm not sure who organises these things but I'm not sure that they think it through much!
