Day 119

Finished work early to get the boy new shoes for school, we'd left them at footy training and weren't able to retrieve nor it seems his other parent was able to buy him some new ones during his weekend with the boy (FFS). Poor little lamb was so worried about having to go into the classroom with his pumps on but when he realised Mrs D understood he was cool. Luckily when I explained to Teach the reason why he wasn't in school shoes I had her sympathies too. Moral of the story if something needs doing for the boy do it yourself!

Anyhoo, we had a pleasant evening mooching at toys and treated the boy to new Star Wars figures -a old school Chewie, C3po and Han Solo and a dirty KFC for tea.

I quite like the 70's orange decor of our local Colonel's eatery so thought I'd blip a light.

In other news, had to catch up on Roo's reading homework (another failure from the weekend grrr). However, this was no chore and actually a delight to hear how well his reading is coming on. Less and less sounding out and more straight off the bat reading words and small sentences in one go - one proud mother!
