At the canal basin

More sculpture photos today. The project deadline is in the second week of September, so I'm working my way down a list of favourites to capture by then.
This is Vega Bermejo's 'Heron and Fish', inspired (as the artist has commented) by the return of wildlife to Sheffield's canals and rivers. The little girl's tee shirt says 'do everything with love'. She was entertaining herself by the sculpture, mostly seeming absorbed in a world of her own while her family enjoyed cups of coffee a few yards away. We did smile at each other though; she seemed amused by my bustling around, trying out this angle and that, kneeling down and getting up again laboriously...
