The church at Molepolole
Today we went on a nostalgic visit to Molepolole, on the edge of the Kalahari Desert, where my late uncle was a missionary doctor for 55 years. The Scottish Livingstone Hospital where he worked was founded in the 1930's and the old mission hospital has now been replaced by a new modern hospital building.
I'm really struggling to choose today's blip out of the many fascinating things we've seen today but have finally decided on this photo of the church in Molepolole just along the road from the hospital, where my uncle was the associate minister.
Our day included a visit to the English Medium Primary school founded by my late aunt, where we were guests of honour at a special assembly when the children sang and danced and played their marimbas for us, and on the way back from Molepolole we stopped at Kolobeng where David Livingstone lived and worked from 1847 to 1852
