Maggi Hambling & Paula Rego

Murray Edwards college in Cambridge (New Hall as was) holds the Women’s Art Collection, which is a significant collection of 600+ pieces of art by female artists. I visited with a friend and we took the self-guided tour. It’s a nice, open building and has gorgeous grounds, plus it’s free so well worth a visit if you’re ever in Cambridge.
One of the many highlights is a corner of the dining room hung with these paintings, the left by Maggi Hambling, the right by Paula Rego. They come as a pair.
