The weather forecast sounded ok for a Fell walk today.
But it was very wet cloudy and foggy, but not too cold. We walked up Esk Pike and Allen Crags from where apparently the views are magnificent. I’m sure they are! Never mind, two more Wainwrights completed only five to go.
This brief burst of sunlight was the only brightness we saw all day. View from the no man’s land between the two Fells across towards Windermere in the far distance.
The extra is a better true impression of the day.
