Amongst the flowers

We took our grandson to Bicton Gardens this morning.  I took this shot as soon as we arrived as he ran off to play amongst the colourful gardens.  He had a good time running around and finally reaching the stream where he spent a very long time dropping leaves and sticks from a small bridge into the water.  We then headed into the main part of the gardens where unusually there was a small group of people with motorised toy boats on the water / lake near the house.  A quick walk through the playground to the green behind where we had lunch.  There are several wooden play houses here and Lucas enjoyed some pretend play in one of the houses that was painted up as a shop.  A pity the others were just bare inside as all the children were attracted to the shop.

He fell asleep pretty quickly when we put him into the buggy but had a very short sleep as he woke as we put him into the car and headed home. An afternoon of play dough, books and water play.
