René and Peter

Here on May 10, Rene came to assess the storm damage to the steps to the beach he built in the late 90s.   He’s basically retired but said he wanted to fix them for us…and he’d call mid august  (!)   when his relatives were gone.    We thought, hummm , " island time."   But here he is!!  With this younger friend Peter who he hopes will take over his Dearpath business.  They are building a breakwater wall and will rebuild the bottom steps but need to come back tomorrow with lower tide to select the rocks for those!-  Extra…the progress today…you can appreciate the tide coming in.  I couldn’t get down there to take a photo but hope to tomorrow!

Supposed to be windy tonight and we 're expecting friends on their sailboat to show up later after dinner.  

Extra :  added a photo of friend Margaret and her daughter who arrived after dinner on their two boats and anchored out ..  they all had Covid and some are still testing positive so we declined a tour of the new 50’ boat.  But had a nice chat at our dock  at sunset,
