Skull

Samuel and I went for a walk after tea. It was a lovely evening, though windy. We drove to Elphinstone. I'd read something in a magazine last week about the Elven Stone and I thought it would be nice to see it. Anyway, I'd forgotten about it by the time we got there and we headed off along a track that lead in the direction of Fa'side Castle. We curved off to the left and eventually regained the road that lead us back to the car.

Samuel almost stood on this badger skull. It lay in the middle of the track as you see it. It can't have been there for very long - certainly not in terms of how much it had decomposed. It really is one big bag of unanswered questions.
