Heading south for Easter
Well last night after the excitement of my eldest daughter's 18th birthday, I caught a flight south to Athens arriving just after midnight. As we landed the air stewardess wished us a Happy Easter (next weekend here in Greece) and the hotel is full of chocolate Easter eggs and bunnies. Two Easters and sun to go with them, not bad.
This morning I wandered through the streets near my hotel to find a 'Cosmote' shop to buy a recharge for my Greek wireless internet usb modem (rather than pay 35 euro for a couple of days to the hotel....).
On the way, I passed this typical Greek church and decided it would do fine as my blip of today.
For all those wondering, the weather is wonderful, the food is fabulous and the Greeks are starting to see the end of the (crisis) tunnel. Don't believe the media reports of doom and gloom, Greece is still a wonderful place to visit and the Greeks are welcoming.
