Eyre Square

starting our West of Ireland trip with a night in Galway City. nandini and i walked around while the others went on a wild pub crawl. we discovered shop street, the latin quarter, and the river Corrib. the latin quarter felt a little like cinque terre - small, cobblestoned, lit up with fairy lights, full of small restaurants and interesting people. like the man playing the didgeridoo, the group of trad musicians playing to a group of hipster idlers tossing a ball to their sheepdog, the drunk guy dancing and yelling, Hola! to everyone who passed. there was a man in the square playing trad music on his fiddle, and a mom was step dancing with her toddler watching. such a lovely place
