Just the one

My buddleias are nearly finished and, apart from some large whites, I’ve not seen any butterflies in my garden for a while.

I popped out to read my book and saw this Red Admiral. It flew off for a while, but luckily it returned.

They were talking about the “false autumn” with so many fallen yellowed leaves around. I really saw this with some surprise as I drove through the village of Sudbury (near the Hall yesterday).  Luckily the RHS expert was reassuring in saying he believed our trees will recover for next year.
