Elusive Kingfisher

I had a wander down by Throop Mill early evening. I really must get out earlier in the day when there is more light! I missed seeing the baby moorhens but did manage to briefly spot a kingfisher. Two rapidly fired shots and he was gone before I could adjust my position for a clearer view. Ah, well.... I was told by someone, who seemingly walks there regularly, that he'd not seen one at all this season, so I guess I should consider myself fortunate.
