Wednesday
Louise picked me up and we collected Lucy and then drove to the Honeystreet Mill cafe for lunch.
The drive through the Vale of Pewsey was beautiful. Golden with harvested fields.
Honeystreet Mill cafe is a ramshackle place and looks unpromising on approach but the food is superb. Despite making sure we were early, we only just managed to get a table.
We sent Jenny a selfie just to make her feel jealous and left out. It worked! She would love to have her sisters on her doorstep but the draw of grandchildren in Wales was too great.
Of course, I'd like grandchildren but despite having 3 children, there are none on the horizon. Then I watch the news and think maybe it's just as well. Less to worry about.
No sign of rain. Lovely weather.
Extra is Lucy's puppy, Marvin. A most peculiar creature.
