Geek Battery Charger

I got a new extra-geeky battery charger the other week. As well as charging batteries it can discharge them so they can be charged from empty, which is better for them. It can also tell you what capacity they have, and "refresh" batteries that are getting out of condition so they work better.

Thanks to this geekiness I can tell you that:

a) My batteries have markings from 2,000mAh capacity up to 2,900mAh capacity. All are in fact around 2000mAh in practice (some may be a bit worn out)
b) Cheap eBay batteries marked 3,500mAh have an actual capacity of 730mAh
c) Three of my batteries were totally dead, but it made it seem like many more were dead beacuse they were all in different sets.
