The Silver Neff
Another Sunday and another day of guiding at Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse.
The amount of visitors was very high and they were all very interested in the house and in items of the collection. It was a constant hive of activity and by the end of the day all of the volunteers were very tired.
This was an unusual pattern of activity. There is usually a lull at some time to catch breath and thoughts.
Covid has meant that the information cards for each room have been removed. The restrictions also mean that many items are not displayed.
Hopefully next year the House will be be presented in the traditional manner.
The Blipfoto shows the Silver Neff which forms the centre piece when the dining table is set for a dinner of some fourteen diners.
After the House closed Pat and I headed off to DH’s home where we all sat around his dining table.
The Dining Table can also seat fourteen although the number present was six.
DH’s home is one Pat and I designed nearly fifteen years ago. It is always a pleasure to be entertained and enjoy hospitality there.
