Historically in late 1636 to early1637

there was complete Tulipomania  in the Netherlands. Demand was such that some examples could cost more than a house in Amsterdam at this time.
This tulip head retrieved from the garden back in the Summer has been in the greenhouse, the seeds just visible ... I wonder how many years it would take for these seeds to make flowering plants. I might sow some anyway just out of interest.
