The Strawberry LIne

We were in the pub last night when some friends phoned and asked if we'd like to cycle 'The Strawberry Line', starting at Yatton, (outskirts of Bristol UK) to Cheddar. As it's only a 55 minute drive from us in Herefordshire we took up their offer.

We met up about 1pm and went into Yatton Station to get a cuppa in the hope the rain would stop. It didn't but I managed to get a photo' of the 13.12 train to Taunton.

Yatton Station opened in 1841and is now managed by GWR (the 7th operator to run the line) so ideal for this weeks W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge with the theme 'something historic'

We did have an hour spell where it dried up but on the return it poured down and on getting back to the car, instead of putting the kettle on, we headed back home!
