Let the performance begin!

This evening we have been to an open air performance of Shakespeare's 'As You Like It' performed by The Lord Chamberlain's Men in the walled garden at Holkham Hall.  The performance was true to how it would have been in Shakespeare's day with an all male cast playing both male and female parts, and was great fun.  This is the stage just before the start of the performance as people were finishing their picnics and settling down to watch.  The production has been touring all summer and there are still five venues left to go; details on the link above if interested.

In other news, the exterminator dealt with the wasps nest in our front door surround this afternoon.  I was rather surprised when he said he thought there were probably between one and five thousand of them in there!  Hopefully, he has inflicted suitable carnage on them.
