Spouse Of The Dragon

We spent quite some time on a spongy bed of bog bean amongst the bulrushes this afternoon. Ollie dog stretched out flat as if she was on a comfy mattress. The rain we've had recently wasn't enough to wet this corner of the lake bed. I planned to experiment using slow shutter speeds to shoot dragons in flight. There were a couple clattering about. Then they stopped. :)

I think they might be emperors. Notice how he has grabbed her by the back of the neck with his claspers. She has curled her abdomen up to receive his sperm, which he has transferred to a pouch near his back legs.
