Boo!

So this is my first true emergency blip. I picked up the new camera today, so didn't have a functioning camera with me until it was time to come home. All excited playing with the new toy before dinner, reading the manual, fiddling about, before we went out for a walk around Harlaw Reservoir in the early evening. I did manage to get off some late light shots but the sun was very bright with little cloud, so the contrast was deep and stumbling around in the undergrowth trying to work out new functions in the camera menus in the failing light was not a good idea. So home to disappointment and frustration. I wasn't satisfied with the pictures I took earlier, so Rupert agreed to act as a model so that I could show off the lovely dof at f2 with a macro setting. I promise to do better tomorrow....
