We've been buying...

...a new gas heater...

Since our flue was condemned we have no means of heating a room if the electricity goes off... Hence the purchase...

The difficult bit was sourcing a Calor gas bottle to go in it! Apparently Calor aren't authorising any new contracts, so the first local place we tried said we'd have to find a bottle on e-bay to return. Fuel Masters in Barugh Green came up trumps though - they source the bottles second hand, and we just had to pay cash for one... Don't think it was dodgy ;) 

Anyway - it works, so if we have power cuts this winter we're tickety boo ;) 

Definitely feeling a bit better today - did a spot of blackberrying so got some fresh air, and I might even try a glass of wine later...
