Kissing the Bishop
Today began with drizzle, which was a pity as it was the day of the Argyllshire Gathering.
The local branch of the Scottish Wildlife Trust had booked a table in the Heritage Tent and I met my friend Tony at the Mossfield Stadium at 9am to carry all the paraphernalia from the car park into the tent. Luckily the weather turned drier and later quite sunny, so it went well and we had a lot of folk at our table, buying goods, playing the lucky dip for which several of us had brought items for prizes and playing the 'What do these animals eat' game.
I went out and about a few times to take photographs - see extra - and even wandered up past out tent to the Upper Crust lunch tent, where the clientele were of a decidedly higher status! My Blip today shows one such group, with the Bishop of Argyll - I think - greeting a friend! There were many beautifully dressed ladies, ditto well-dressed gentlemen and many young folk trying to look posh, largely by wearing caps! I think we did quite well on our table and it was lovely to meet so many friends and acquaintances, even among the Upper Crust!
So a good time was had by all!
