13 May 1568 : Battle of Langside

When Mary Queen of Scots' army was defeated by James VI. The monument was designed by Alexander Skirving in 1887.

It is situated in the middle of a very busy roundabout. How many times have I walked and driven past this over the years, and never stopped to cross into the middle to view the monument close up? So much detail, I like the bagpipes.
