Community flower beds

Shock e mail from the Community Growing Officer saying they won’t be providing bedding plants for our Community flowerbeds ( and others in Falkirk District) next year.

Instead , they are employing a garden designer to come and decide what perennial plants would be suitable for them. They believe this will be less work!!

We would still need to plant them out and maintain the beds throughout the year. We’ll see……

This is all being funded by the Scottish government. Where they are finding the cash for this I do not know.

Cleansing department on strike still. Litter bins full to overflowing. So very depressing.

Another nice day so we had a picnic on our drive round the Trossachs.
