Growing well
A few weekends ago, I took advantage of a break in what has been very persistent rain since at least April, and swept the leaves and twigs off the drive. Initially, I had no intention of trying to transplant some Nikau. Seeing a wide range of size, I thought it was worth a try, and after checking with S put a half dozen in an empty pot. Obviously, the roots were not badly damaged, and they have had enough sunlight and rain to prosper.
